Vision
We believe that by a commitment from everyone working together, parents, staff, governors and children, we will provide an education for every child, that will enable them to grow as unique individuals prepared for the next steps in their lives.
Our vision is to achieve excellence in all that we do, so that every pupil attending Gresham Village School and Nursery benefits from excellent teaching, a broad, balanced and knowledge rich curriculum, and superb opportunities to develop and thrive as an individual, both in and outside the classroom, underpinned by a culture which is caring, aspirational and outward-looking.
Principles
Children learn and grow better when they feel safe and secure and have a sense of belonging. This is achieved in a positive school environment based on respect and celebrate every child as an individual.
Our school environment, interactions and the experiences we provide for children should be planned in a way that develops their character, confidence and resilience and broadens their knowledge and understanding of the wider world.
Our curriculum needs to be broad and balanced, exciting and engaging and stimulate every child's curiosity and excitement for learning in the classroom and the wider world. Particularly, it needs to support our children to achieve their best possible outcomes in literacy, numeracy and technology in order to transfer successfully to their year 7 destinations and beyond.
Collectively we will work effectively together to provide the best outcomes for every child. This includes building a bond of trust with parents and children and using expertise across the Synergy Trust and with other professionals.
We recognise the vital importance of high quality guidance, support and training for our staff and governors, to give them the knowledge and skills required to deliver inspired teaching and support for our children.
